Irapuato: Strawberry Capital of the World and more...

Best known for its strawberry tradition, rather than an actual production, this fruit became a symbol of Irapuato, city of the state of Guanajuato, at Bajio zone.  Localized near Arandas mountain, on the south region of Guanajuato, which is home of the International Cervantino Festival, Irapuato has a population of 500,000 inhabitants, close to Lerma River, at 5,550 ft. above sea level.

Because of its geography, at the center of México, Irapuato is one  of the more developed municipalities, as well as other neighbor cities like Silao and Salamanca, where international companies have invested around 400 million USD in the state of Guanajuato this year (and previously, for example, Mazda, Honda, GM, VW, Procter & Gamble, General Mills and many more).

Irapuato is also home of La Trinca, a local 1"A" soccer league team in México.

It is also close to the arqueological site of Peralta, in Abasolo. Some arqueologists say, acording to the estimated extension, that it could be ancient Aztlán, spiritual home of Gods, still thought as a myth.

Counterpoint 2012: the claims of psycho-analysis' interest in México

In music, harmony is provided by different elements. A counterpoint is a way to organize that harmony, which is determined by two or more different voices that create a certain sound. Thus, we invite you to our first Couterpoint in México, in Guanajuato state, city of Irapuato.
